Emerging from the graphic style of skate culture, ACE has become London’s most visible poster artist, with a proliferation of work that meshes cartoon characters, magazine cover stars and images of the post-war domestic ideal into a collage of overlaid popular culture. Techniques using screen printing and laser copying parody the mass-production of disposable printed media, and the placement of his work on the street references his original skating explorations of the city.

These posters often appear in clusters across various surfaces along a road that has industrial doors and recesses. This mimics advertising sites by using a scaled-down flyposting campaign that continues the DIY punk tradition, where music and fashion magazines, gigs and events were promoted outside the mainstream.
